Free webinar looks at the ‘good, the bad and the ugly’ of stress

Need help managing negative stress? The Council on Dental Practice Dentist Health and Wellness Program is hosting a free webinar 2-3 p.m. Central Time Sept. 30.

Titled, “Stress: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” the webinar is a fast-paced session on stress led by Mary Jo Graden, a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years.

In the webinar, members will learn what stress is, identify the physical and mental impacts of stress, and how to manage the negative types of stress. In addition, attendees can learn why some stress is good and how to tell the difference.

Other takeaways include:

  • How your mind can create and control the stress you experience.
  • Techniques for preventing stress from building up in your body.
  • How to make the behavioral changes necessary to manage stress.
  • Mindfulness exercises that will help you conquer the stressors of daily life.
