Don’t forget your toothbrush … And five other things to remember as you head to ADA 2016
As a new dentist, this may be your first ADA annual meeting. It’s a great opportunity to earn CE, connect with colleagues from across the country and enjoy a few of Denver’s 300 days of sunshine. If you haven’t yet registered for the meeting, it’s not too late! Register today.
While your DNA makes it unlikely you’ll forget your toothbrush, here’s a few other things to know before you head to Denver:
1. You won’t want to miss the New Dentist Reception
Hang out with friends from dental school and make new ones at the New Dentist Reception. It will be a fun evening of food and drinks at Denver’s original craft brewery, Wynkoop Brewing Co. And don’t forget to register for the New Dentist Conference at ADA.org/NDC.
2. Check out Malala’s best-selling book
Need something to read on the flight to Denver? Learn about Malala Yousafzai by reading her best-selling book, I Am Malala. Malala, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2014, will speak on Friday, Oct. 21, as part of The Distinguished Speaker Series presented by ACT® Oral Care.
3. Prepare for the altitude
Denver really is the Mile High City, but there’s no reason to let the altitude scare you! Denver’s convention and visitors bureau has a few simple tips for acclimating to the thinner and dryer air.
4. Attend the Opening General Session to be inspired
The Opening General Session, presented by ACT® Oral Care, will focus on dentists from across the country sharing their personal stories — how being a dentist has made a difference in their lives and allowed them to make an impact on their practices, families and community. Learn more about the Opening General Session.
5. You’re going to love Denver
A young, active city at the base of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Denver’s stunning architecture, award-winning dining and unparalleled views make it one of the country’s most popular cities to visit. Learn more about everything to do, see and eat in Denver at ADA.org/Denver.
