For many prospective patients, your website will be their first introduction to who you are, according to the ADA Center for Professional Success. It will serve as a key part of your online marketing efforts as you will want to direct people to visit your site and learn more about you and your practice. A bad website will leave a bad impression and as they say, “first impressions are everything.”

Online effectiveness 1What are some ways to know if your website is effective?

PBHS, endorsed by ADA Business Resources, has provided an easy tip sheet with five web measurements you should be constantly monitoring.

  1. Target local search visits. Set up local listings on popular sites like Google and Yelp.
  2. Decrease bounce rate. The bounce rate is the measurement of people who leave your site after viewing only one page. Making sure information (scheduling, office location, contact information, etc.) is easy to find is key to reducing your bounce rate.
  3. Increase time on site. Adding engaging content like your background or pictures of your office are good ways to encourage people to hang around and learn more about your practice via your website.
  4. Increase social interactions. Make your Facebook and Twitter posts personal. Don’t just repost articles and use stock images.
  5. Inspire action. How can people contact you? Make sure your contact information is visible and easy to find.

Effective & useful explanation given to stay ahead in websites usefulness competition. Since its the prime duty of the website holder to keep it simple & useful at the same time. As expected patients do little market research before finalizing on their dentist.
