New Dentist News to unveil redesigned look March 4

By | February 12, 2019

New dentists and dental students can expect a new look and feel when they receive the March 4 issue of the New Dentist News.

The ADA New Dentist Committee and the ADA Publishing Division will unveil the redesigned eight-page quarterly publication, which is distributed as an insert in the ADA News as a member resource for new dentists and dental students. Previously, the New Dentist News came as a four-page wrap of the ADA News.

“We hope new dentists and dental students find the reimagined publication more visually compelling and accessible, while still giving its readers engaging stories about their peers and information on valuable ADA resources,” said Dr. Ray Jarvis, ADA New Dentist Committee chair.

Created by new dentist leaders more than 22 years ago, the New Dentist News now includes in-depth stories about new dentists and their experiences across the practice paradigms in dentistry.

“In addition to the redesign, we’ve added some new features, including a regular infographic from the ADA Health Policy Institute, a top five list, shorter stories and a new sponsor — BMO Harris,” Dr. Jarvis said. All stories in the publication are also posted in the New Dentist Now blog, newdentistblog.ada.org.

The first issue of the redesigned publication includes a main feature on the importance of finding a mentor, top five reasons to attend the 2019 New Dentist Conference and a look at what dentists wish they knew after graduating from dental school.
