Figuring out whether to opt in or out of Medicare can be confusing for some dentists.

Center for Professional SuccessThe ADA has resources to help dentists make the decision that’s best for their practice. Beginning Jan. 1, 2019, dentists who write prescriptions for Part D drugs must be enrolled in “an approved status or have a valid opt-out affidavit on file with Medicare in order for their prescriptions to be covered under Medicare Part D,” according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
