Are you looking to take your local Give Kids A Smile event to the next level, as well as to become a resource for other GKAS organizers as they work to elevate their own programs?

If so, you’re a good candidate to become a GKAS Ambassador, but you need to act quickly.

GKAS InstituteMay 13 is the deadline to apply to the GKAS Community Leadership Development Institute, which provides GKAS program coordinators with advanced training to become GKAS Ambassadors.

Since 2011, the GKAS Institute has provided grant funding to about 10 GKAS program coordinators each year. The coordinators are invited to St. Louis in October to observe the longest-running GKAS event in the nation. Participants gain hands-on experience and learn best practices regarding how to initiate, enhance or expand their existing GKAS program.

After graduation, GKAS Ambassadors not only have the tools and experiences to optimize their own programs, but also become part of a strong peer-to-peer network and serve as regional resources for other GKAS coordinators.

The GKAS Institute couldn’t happen without the ongoing support of sponsors Hu-Friedy and Henry Schein Cares.

The 2016 GKAS Institute will take place in St. Louis, Oct. 26-29.

The application is available here.
