How many hours a week do you work? Do you think you’re working too much? Not enough?
An NPR Planet Money episode, “Why We Work So Much,” looks at the average hours workers from around the world dedicate to their job. It also discusses economist John Maynard Keynes 1930 essay that thought we’d be working just 15 hours a week—and what he obviously got wrong.
As for dentistry, according to a 2013 Health Policy Institute survey, general practitioners in private practice spend an average of 34.7 hours in the dental office; specialists, 34.5 hours.
