Why not help ADA Foundation on Giving Tuesday?

By | December 1, 2015

Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday have passed.

Foundation logoDec. 1 is Giving Tuesday, a movement created in 2012 to celebrate and encourage charitable giving.

Association members and nonmembers alike can become part of the movement by making a gift to the ADA Foundation to help it fulfill its mission of C.A.R.E. — charitable assistance, access to care, research and education.

In 2014 — the last year in which complete records are available — the Foundation provided more than $1.3 million through 164 grants and scholarships in an effort to improve the nation’s oral health.

Assistance provided by the Foundation includes:

  • Aid to dentists who suffered losses due to natural disasters
  • Access to care for children and adults through Give Kids A Smile, Missions of Mercy and other programs.
  • Education about the importance of infant oral care for new mothers.
  • Important oral health research.

Every dollar donated goes to support one of the programs. No money goes toward administrative overhead.
