In your journey through dentistry, what are you most thankful for?

ThanksWith Thanksgiving Day only a week away, New Dentist Now asked its guest bloggers to answer one question: In your journey through dentistry, what are you most thankful for?

Here are their answers:

Dr. Katie Sowa

“I’m thankful for the relationships I’ve built in my journey through dentistry. These relationships have led to a great associateship and involvement in organized dentistry. I’m thankful for these relationships, as they have allowed me to make a difference in the community and to those in need.”

Dr. Emily Hobart

“I am thankful that I get to wake up every day and do something that I absolutely love to do.  It was a long, tough journey, but it feels so good to finally be on the other side of it.”

Dr. Daryn Lu

“In my journey through dentistry, I’m most thankful for the relationships. Without my family and friends, colleagues, or patients, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Oh, and fluoride as well.” 🙂

Dr. Joe Vaughn

“I’m thankful for every door and hallway that have led me here. Thankful for the mentors and the peers and the many conversations had along the way. Thankful for the friends and the classmates and the residents and all the people in my life that have made it what it is. Thankful for the experiences I’ve had. In the clinic and out of it. The crowns that looked beautiful and the crowns that didn’t seat all the way. The good experiences and the bad. I’m thankful for each and every one.”

Dr. Brenden Moon

“I’m most thankful for co-workers and other professionals that share a love for dentistry. Performing dentistry at a high level takes focus, commitment, skill, and most of all, a love for what we’re doing. I’m thankful to be part of such a great profession, and I’m thankful for the help and inspiration I receive from those around me — constantly.”

Dr. Drew Byrnes

“In my journey through dentistry, I am most thankful for the influence of my mentor, Dr. John Gammichia. He always treats his patients the way that he would want to be treated. It was his example that inspired me to become a dentist.”

Dr. Cappy Sinclair

“I am thankful for all of the mentors that I have had throughout my dental career that have provided me with inspiration and guidance in creating my own practice philosophy!”

Rich McIver

“I’m most thankful for the relationships. Some of the kindest, most generous, and fun people I know I’ve met through the dental industry.”

Now it’s your turn. What are you most thankful for?

I’m thankful to be surrounded by an elite team of individuals that support me in my pursuit of excellence. Every day each one on my team is committed to the same values, ethics and clinical excellence as I am. It makes coming to the office inspirational every day.
