Dental professionals have a one-stop shop when looking for continuing dental education courses that ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program-recognized providers offer.

The Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition’s website, ADA.org/CCEPR, hosts a searchable list of CE courses offered by ADA CERP recognized providers, which includes the ADA and many of the 435 ADA CERP-recognized providers that voluntarily list their courses on the website.

“The science behind quality care dentistry changes and improves each year,” said Dr. Eva Ackley, commission vice chair. “It is beneficial to both members and nonmembers to help locate up-to-date CE courses in the database to ensure we continue to achieve the technological advances in oral health care for our patients.”

In the database, dentists can search using date, provider, topic and location to find courses to fulfill CE requirements.

The commission evaluates providers of continuing dental education in 14 aspects of program quality. The panel only grants ADA CERP recognition to CE providers demonstrating that they meet its Recognition Standards and Procedures. Once approved, providers are held accountable for maintaining those standards.

When selecting continuing dental education, professionals can identify ADA CERP-recognized providers by its logo and recognition statement. Because CE regulations vary from state-to-state, dentists should check with their licensing boards regarding specific requirements.
